“Have 65" Samsung SUHD TV and want to utilize Soundbar. Is a Receiver required or just TV and Soundbar?”

• I purchased the soundbar for my 55-inch 4K HD TV and all I needed was the soundbar which came with 7-in woofer. Great sound. No receiver was needed. I have Direct TV so I do need a receiver for satellite.

• I own the same Sound Bar and my 40" Samsung plugs directly into the sound bar (via optical/HDMI).

• No. I only purchased a soundbar with the subwoofer. I liked this product because a receiver is not necessary.

• No receiver needed. But the sound is just average at best. You'd be better off buying a speaker system that uses a receiver like the Yamaha surround sound system. I took my sound bar back and got the yamaha.
