Will the remote control turn a sound bar on and off? null

Sure will , just pair the remotes.

Mine does for my system. If your sound bar is also Samsung, they will talk to each other and depending on which input you connect it to and how you have it all set up, it should turn on the sound bar when it turns on the TV. I have mine connected in such a way that when I turn on my Samsung BluRay player it automatically turns on my Samsung Sound bar as well.
