Yes, this TV supports HDR10. Although there is something you should and that there is currently a format war going on with which HDR format will become the 4K standard. There are currently two formats, HDR10 which is an open format, can be installed via firmware update and is a lot cheaper for companies to not only install but use. Then there is Dolby Vision HDR which needs to be physically installed the TV, requires specific parts and chips from Dolby and has to meet a higher HDR standard. Samsung and Sony are going HDR10, and LG and Vizio are going Dolby Vision and from what LG told me is that after April their TVs will also support HDR10. Netflix is currently working on bring HDR10 streaming and Vudu already has 4K Dolby Vision HDR which can only be seen from the Roku 4 and Vizio models that support Dolby Vision. The only issue I have is... If and when a format is selected, one will lose and I don't want to be with the losing side. So if HDR10 loses the format, then our Samsung TVs will be outdated and not be able to play Dolby Vision HDR.

Currently all Movies are produced in Dolby Vision and then easily converted to HDR10. You will find that Netflix and Amazon Prime Video support both versions because of this easy conversion. You will not have to worry about HDR10 going away.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually this TV does not support HDR in 4K. For some reason the TV reduces the speed of your apps regardless of your incoming modem speed to below the necessary 25 MBPS needed for 4K HDR content. I have 100 mbps. And everything on the house receives it, including the TV... BUT it only allows Netflix, Amazon and even the XBOX to run below those speeds. So you can watch HDR content from Netflix and Amazon, however it's only in 1080. They do offer that but what's the point. The 4K titles without HDR do fine. I've been on the phone with Samsung, Netflix and my internet provider. No one can answer why. I've tried it with two of these TV's. I returned one. Now on the other hand if you go to the TV's browser it runs at the correct speed. Netflix has a speed test inside it's app if you go to the settings and that test is always below 18 mbps. Same thing with XBOX and Amazon. So it has to be the TV restricting the speeds to these apps for some reason. If anyone else can answer this please do. I would love to watch 4K HDR content like the TV advertises.
