• I just had a "chat session" with a Samsung rep with the same question. He said to simply pull the legs out. I haven't done this as yet since I'm not ready to hang the TV. Hope this works and helps you.

• I'm not 100% sure, but I think you just pull them out. I don't remember there being any latch on them to hold them in place.
