Well, I think this Samsung TV set is pretty smart... Once you are connected to internet, it programs itself to control the Directv box, Blu-ray player, home theater, etc... So you can configure its remote control to change channels and do most of the functions the Directv control performs. I have a Bose home theater and this Samsung TV controller also programed itself so I can turn on, turn off, raise and lower etc. in other word, one controller for everything. I think is pretty awesome and straight forward to set up...
