I would recommend this curved screen TV over a flat screen any time! The side viewing angle seems much greater with the curved screen. Am concerned about heat from the fireplace? Will you have a fire in the fireplace?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you get the mount that you can angle, it would work just fine. We have it higher on the wall, and if the kids want to lay on the floor when they watch, or play games in their lower down "gaming chairs", we just tilt it and it is no problem. I was not looking for a curved screen but would go that way from now on. It seems to give a better picture, and is visible anywhere in the room clearly, if you have the fully mobile mount.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This sounds exactly like my living room set up. I mounted my 55" curved Samsung over the mantle and had to put the soundbar underneath the mantle due to space restrictions. The fireplace heat was too close, 8"-10", and it had to be remounted above the tv w/ the Rocket Fish soundbar mount. The heat has not bothered the tv since it's about 2 feet above and has a mantle in between.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.comes with hardware to mount it to a flat surface
