Yes you do if watching more then over the air broadcasts. HDMI cable in the $20 range would be fine. Over the air broadcasts require a digital antenna.. plugs into port marked antenna.. Then at tv start up it will run a scan for over the air broadcasts for ( free tv) so to say..
