Honestly cannot answer that. However I have been buying Samsung over 25+ years. And now have Samsung 7 and 8 series in 55" purchased in November. I love them both, see almost no difference. However, the price difference was less than $100. And I would've gotten both in 8 Series if I could exchange. Best Buy has all your answers, I purchased on the phone, and didn't find the representative pushing me to buy just to spend more. So I highly recommend asking them!
