“Will this model's version 4.2 Bluetooth pair well with version 5.0 on my earbuds? From what I understand, reverse compatibility would give me 4.2. But 5.0 supposedly has less sound lag, for better lip synching, etc., when watching TV.”

Answering my own question: my Awei bargain earbuds work perfectly with this TV. It took a while to pair them, but the sound is good. No lag or cutout.
