Hi there, subverb! The TU8000 includes 4 different Picture Modes, so you can select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience.• Dynamic makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. • Standard is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. • Natural reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. • Movie is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. You can also individually adjust the brightness and contrast to achieve the picture quality you desire (Home > Settings > Picture > Expert Settings). ^Gina
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Personally I had to customize my settings rather then go with the pre-installed modes. I did try the movie mode which I liked but found it sometimes too dark. So I customized manually. Samsung gives you a lot of choice in customizing the picture. I’m very happy with my settings now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Gina with Samsung is right. I can get the picture just the way I like with the picture mode and expert settings. Dynamic was too bright, so I fiddled with Standard till I was happy. It's also easy to adjust for movies or shows that seem too dark, not sharp enough, etc. Try the Movie setting sometime for "The Godfather." If I understand, it's what Coppola wanted us to see.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you happened to touch the Ambient button on the remote like I did, DON'T DO IT. It leaves a duller picture. Look at your "User Manual" and find the menu to a just color and brightness. Another way is go to BEST BUY and ask the experts there.
