• The 6500 has a motion rate of 120 Hz where the 8500 has a motion rate of 240 Hz and High Dynamic Range (HDR)

• The differences are too many to list. But the 8500 upscales, has hdr, motion rate is 240 (compared to 120), UHD 4K TV (compared to Premium UHD). Got to each TV in a separate tab. Scroll down to specs for each and click on the more specs button. Toggle between them and your question should be answered. The 8500 is a better TV in my opinion. Jim
