“i have a 42in box tv....it has a lot of cables plugged into it..is there a box that comes with a newer tv that I can plug all those cables in ..or do these newer tvs eliminate them”

No, there is no box with this tv. Samsung does have box that you can buy to hook up all HDMI cables.
