• Hello Noreen, this unit can be powered on/off manually. The power button is on the bottom right corner of the unit. ^Britt

• Yes there is a power button on the back of the tv. May be hard to get to if tv is mounted on the wall but there is one.

• Yes. Even my older model had this ability my button is on the bottom of the front right. Depress the button to turn on and off. When you turn it on a little guide pops up showing the other functions of the button.
