Open-box TVs are generally defined as TVs that have been previously owned or used, returned to the retailer, inspected and sold again at a discount to consumers.

The TVs are than checked over by the Geek squad before it is put back on the floor. If I remember right it has a manufacturer warranty just like the new ones. I've always bought open box when I can and I never had any issues and for a peace of mind I get geek squad to be sure I'm covered for a long time
