Have you looked at the picture settings? There is a small possibility the Brightness and Contrast settings need adjustment. My unit does not have the cloudy edge (day or night). -Usually have the "Dynamic" picture setting where the Brightness, Contrast, and Backlight are set pretty high. I would suggest a return if the picture settings don't resolve the issue. I know a friend that had an issue with a new television and Best Buy delivered the new replacement, so that may be a possibility that could ease the situation.
