• If the stand came in the box than it should be covered under the warranty. If you bought it from Best Buy call the store

• I would suggest you check with Best Buy to see if they will let you swap it out. Normally you have 30 days. If they wont honor a swap out, than you could probably get ahold of HP, and they might help you. Or, maybe you can wall mount it instead? That's what I did. My stand is still wrapped up in storage.
