It is not recommended to have sound from both the TV and an external audio device (e.g., soundbar). Each may or may not have audio delays that are difficult to synchronize. The echo you hear is evidence of that. I recommend you go into the settings and select the audio output to your soundbar. This should stop the TV audio and this eliminate any echo. However you may also need to go into the soundbar settings and adjust the audio delay setting ito eliminate any lip sync issues. Good luck!
