I wouldn't necessarily use this for digital signage and no it work in portrait mode unless your signage software can rotate it. There are panels specifically made for digital signage so you might want to check out CDW (cdw.com) They are a pure commercial / enterprise IT company. (I work in commercial IT) or some other digital signage supplier. Most of these TV's were not designed to be hung vertically just for ventilation properties alone and could ruin it from overheating. It boils down to the software and your video interfaces. Do your homework. True digital signage done right is not cheap.
