“Do I have to get a sound system to hear this TV?”

• Satisfaction with sound is a subjective thing. Compared to other brands of TVs in its price range I feel this is very good sound. To expect it to compete with a sound bar that costs as much as this TV or a receiver/speaker combo that costs twice the price of this TV is not realistic.

• It has speakers and above average sound for TV speakers. That though is a subjective opinion. It can't compete with a $300+ soundbar or a 5.1 receiver and speaker system costing 1.5-2 times the price of the TV, but would you expect it to be able to?

• This unit has surprisingly good audio with picture and audio built in enhancing so no add on needed unless you want 200 watts of sound
