A:Answer Xbox One S is a cheap way to get 4K HDR with all the good features you need to get up to date specs. If you keep an eye out you can find one for under $250 sometimes even $200.
To be clear. 4K disks are quite expensive and it doesn’t seem like that will change anytime soon. Also about 80-90% of all current movies aren’t even filmed in 4K so it’s just a upconverted picture which despite what people say, you’ll never notice a rise in quality. If you agree and 4K isn’t important. Any (name brand) BluRay player will do. Obvious easy answer is stick to the names you know.
Sony, Lg, Samsung.
Sony has disk players in almost all stores and you can get a decent 1080p BluRay player for $60-80. Paying beyond that price for extra features will not benefit much.
So in my opinion. Get a low cost, name brand BluRay player and get yourself a nice powerful streaming device such as an AppleTv 4K $179, a Roku that supports 4k $60-100 or even an Amazon Fire Tv 4K $40-80. You’ll get the best streaming experience and the best Apps instead of being limited by your manufacturers tiny App Store.
