• It will fit. The TV is 49" wide but the stand is only 40". We bought a Samsung sound bar and it works great. I would recommend the purchase of a sound bar.

• 1. Don't know about a sound bar. We don't have one. 2. Will not fit into a 46" cabinet. The TV is 48-1/2" wide.

• Hi Katie! While a soundbar is not necessary, we do recommend one to give you a more immersive experience with your TV. The total width of the 55Q70T is 48.4", so it will not fit in a 46" cabinet. ^Gina
