120Hz is the "Motion Rate" refresh rate. This isn't the true rate of the display, which is 60Hz. Motion Rate is Samsung's term for faking a higher refresh rate. Most all TV companies do it and have their own name for it, TruMotion, Clear Action, etc. It's somewhat of a gimmick to sell TVs (bigger, prettier number), like car manufacturers advertising horsepower at the engine for their vehicles instead of what they actually put to the ground. There are true 120Hz 4K TVs, but they're on much more expensive models.
