My range was just installed and they turned it on to clean out the inside of the gasses and chemicals. It is off now but the vents in the back are generating a lot of heat. Will they turn off? Does the range usually generate that much heat? null

That is the only place the oven can remove heat unless you open the oven door. So, yes it will run for awhile until cooled off.
