Sadly, the gas version can never turn on anything from the app. you have to go to the front panel to start the oven or broiler. Once on, you can adjust the temperature and/or cook time but not the mode. I think it's very unlikely, but Samsung could fix this with a simple firmware update. the app already controls the oven and can turn it off. surface element control is not event theoretically possible - they use mechanical valves. But the app monitors them, which is a nice featue,
