You sure can, Angie! The upper and lower washers for this model have separate locations for the detergent used, allowing you to use different detergents in each. You can see these locations on pages 39 and 41 of the user manual (https://bit.ly/3h7hFDI). It is also important to note that both of these will require HE (High Efficiency) detergent. ^Jecca
