No but as a precaution if you have just cabinets above it could be a fire hazard most above range microwaves have built in vents that can be directed into the roof or recirculated into the kitchen

Stove seems to be working fine under my microwave oven. Which has a vent for it. But that vent isn’t connect to the stove. So I would say you’d be fine without a vent. I am.
