Samsung's reply is very telling. They keep designing equipment that thinks for you, badly. However, not all breads rise optimally at the same temp. And sometimes you want to warm your good china but 175 is too hot. And sometimes you want to dry fruit at 140. And sometimes I want to make yogurt at 120. The massive temp gap between the 95 of proof and 175 of plate warmer makes these functions so much less useful. It's an electric oven. It's so simple for it to be infinitely adjustable. Stop forcing cooks into cages and just make good equipment. Also, the number of repairs on this thing is in double digits.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.most yeast bread recipes will state to put the dough in a warm area to rise. The proof feature has a temp of 150 degrees (at least for my previous Samsung oven). This is a nice feature if you live in a colder region.

If you press Bread Proof when the oven temperature exceeds 95 °F, Hot will appear on display. Because these functions produce the best results when started while the oven is cool, we recommend that you wait until the oven has cooled down and Hot disappears from the display.
