Make sure the oven knobs or touch controls are set to the correct position. If knobs were removed for cleaning, ensure they were reinstalled correctly. For self-cleaning ovens, check that the door latch is fully unlocked. Some ovens have a separate relay board that controls power to the heating elements. If a relay is stuck closed, it can keep the oven on even when the control panel says it’s off.
