I've had this unit for about a month now, and just like any other stove, it does get hot but I haven't noticed the cooktop or front steel piece getting extremely hot. I haven't used the wifi feature yet. You don't have to use it if you don't want to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm glad to help with your two questions! With any oven, the exterior can become warm to the touch when in use. However, it should not be getting too hot to touch. If ever that was the case, we would ask that you contact us immediately for further assistance. As for the Wi-Fi feature, it is not required for standard oven and cooktop functions. However, any of the Smart features (such as monitoring cooking from you mobile device) will not be available if the Wi-Fi is not connected. ^Jecca
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same problem with the oven heat causing the top, sides and particularly the front metal piece where the vent is located (which happens to be right behind the oven door handle). That metal piece was so hot if a child touched it their fingers would burn. The sides were unacceptably warm, as well as the glass top. The glass top was too hot to put anything on it. The oven was preheating to 350 degrees when this occurred immediately after installation. I called Samsung and they processed a return. I don’t want to use any part of the range at all, but now I am trying to get my old range returned which they removed at installation. Wish me luck.
