• The maximum extent of the handle (the front center) is 28 3/4 from the top back of the range. Now, there is a 3/4 inch spacer on the upper back of the range designed to assure that the range is installed a safe distance from the wall so, if you measure from the wall to the front of the handle you have a distance of 29 1/2 inches.

• I just measured mine. The 28 11/16 includes the handle.
