It means there is something wrong with the pot on the burner - either the burner is on and there isn't a pot on it, the pot isn't induction compatible (you can check by seeing if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the pan), the bottom of the pan isn't flat, or the pot is too small for the selected burner. If you need a recommendation for induction compatible cookware, I like the Ninja Foodi NeverStick collection.
