Hi Philip, Thank you for reaching out, and we hope you are in good health. We appreciate your interest in Samsung home appliances, specifically with Samsung - 6.3 cu. ft. Smart Instant Heat Slide-in Induction Range with Air Fry & Convection+ - Stainless steel. Yes, this range will require a neutral wire or ground wire for the power cord. You may use a 3 or 4-wire power cord for this electric range. The location of the power cord connection would be on the lower left-hand side facing the back portion of the range. I have shared the installation guide below. Please access the link and turn to pages 3 - 6 for the electrical guidelines. https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/EM/202103/20210302184716714/Install_NE63T8911_AA_DG68-01302A-01_EN-MES_210129b.pdf Please feel free to communicate with us through the channels below if you have additional questions. 1. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Buy a power cord which will have 3 prongs. If you don't have an outlet already, have an electrician (unless you know how) install a 240 outlet 3-4 in. above the floor on the left side of your opening for the range. Make sure the outlet is flush with the wall so that the range can slide back all the way to the wall once the cord is plugged into the outlet. The lower back of range is recessed to accommodate the plug.
