• the legs on this set can be put into 2 different locations the minimum distance needed is 41.5in X12in.

• I have the 60 inch version purchased in January 2017. This set has two possible positions for installing the legs and I have them installed with the smallest footprint. The distance from outside edge to outside edge is 41 and 1/4 inch. For those interested in installing a speaker base, the legs allow for 3 and 1/8 inches clearance between the bottom of the TV and the stand.
