its hooked up with high end HDMI cable. But every 5-10 minutes, pause in sound .Have new Directtv uhd $K dvr. But used that for a week on old TV and was OK.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago and haven't had any issues with the sound. Do you have any Bluetooth headphones or speakers you can use to see if it does the same? Sorry, wish I could be more help.
