• You must have the eco setting on that auto dims based on ambient light. Turn that off if it bothers you.

• There's an automatic feature, which adjusts TV picture brightness to the light in the room. Go to settings, and you can turn the auto feature off.

• Maybe the lamp is too close to the light sensor on the TV. I would recommend you turning off the light sensor on the TV.

• There is a setting for automatic light sensor that adjusts the backlight based on the brightness of the room. Turn that off and you should be good to go

• There are some display setting options. If you go to Dynamic (you may be in movie mode) you will see it dramatically increase in brightness.
