How well the feature actually works is, perhaps, open to some interpretation - it's kind of subjective. The term "Smart TV" in this case refers to the fact that the TV has built-in WiFi so you can watch content from certain applications such as Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, YouTube, etc. without needing a separate box / device (but you still need a Netflix account, for example). Many of these popular apps come pre-installed on the TV, and you can search and browse available apps right on the TV in its "SmartHub" feature.
