“Mounting TV to a wall The TV will be mounted above a fireplace where the wall temperature is 175 degrees F. Is it safe to mount the TV on a wall with those temperatures? What is the maximum wall temperature allowable to safety mount this TV? Your help is much appreciated.”

YOU MUST KEEP TV AWAY FROM HEAT SOURCE PLUS THE SOOT FROM WOOD FIREPLACE WOULD DESTROY THE PROTECTIVE FILM ON THE SCREEN AND THE SOOT IS CORROSIVE TO ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS. SOUNDS LIKE GOOD IDEA BUT NOTHING LIKE THIS IS A GOOD IDEA. JUST HANG A LARGE PICTURE ABOVE FIREPLACE AND TV SOMEPLACE ELSE.

It is not recommended to mount the TV over a fireplace. Both heat and soot will shorten the life of your TV. --Mr. S
