“How does 720p look on this 4k set My cable company/box has 720p HD channels, don't think they will be upgrading soon. I know this set like other 4k sets will upscale 720, 480, 1080, etc to quasi 4K to fill screen, but from what I had read about 4k TV's in general, this up conversion process makes the picture quality worse, vs watching 720 on a 1080 set. Any thoughts/opinions on how the non 4K content looks on this set, or others.??”

It's best to always send the highest resolution signal to the TV from the source. 720 and higher will generally look really good. It's 420i/p where there's a lot of digital noise because the TV has to determine and assign colors to each pixel based on the incoming signal. --Mr. S

I really have a hard time seeing any difference between 720 and 1080 upscale results as both are very near 4K quality. Even the old MASH programs in standard 480 upscales very well.. Not 4K but much improved.. Looks great on this TV
