Is the sonos play bar compatible with this tv? null

I posted that the Sonos has issues with using the smart remote that comes with this TV. Samsung gave me the following instructions to make this usable: TJ: You may use the TV remote to operate the sound bar, by connecting them with the TV using ARC HDMI connection. TJ: All you need to do is connect the TV to sound bar using HDMI cable on the HDMI ARC port on the TV. TJ: Select the source on TV. TJ: Turn on the Anynet feature on both the devices. TJ: And you may use the TV remote with the sound bar as well. I will update this if it does not work.

Yes and no. Yes, the Sonos Playbar works wonderfully with this TV. No, the Sonos Playbar will not read the remote control that comes with it. Specifically, the volume control does not work. There are some workarounds that may or may not work. Sonos does not come with a remote control, nor do they sell one. In order for the Playbar to work, the remote control must use infrared (IR) technology. The remote that comes with the tv uses radio frequency (RF) to control it, yet it uses IR also but there seems to be a major issue getting it to use IR for volume control.
