2160p (not 2080p) and 1080p refer to the amount of pixels which in turn produces a higher quality picture. The older models are mostly 1080p but in 2016 going into 2017 most TV's are 2160p. As for your question comparing the 2 models 65KS9000 it does not come in 1080p. All 4K TV's are 2160p. Hope this helps.
