The distance between the 2 different mounting points is only about 6 inches. The thing that really surprised me is that the legs are not secured with screws but just snap into place but it takes a lot of pressure to get into final position.

Approximately 2-1/8" or 9-1/4" from where the diagonal foot edge touches the table to edge of TV depending on which leg position you use.

My advice living here in earthquake country is to use a wall mount. :~)
