• I pipe the audio output via optical cable to my Marantz sound system and it sounds/works just fine. Make sure you're going into the sound settings and selecting the desired output channel as the TV speaker output is the default.

• Im using an optical cable on my 5.1 sound bar with rear satellite speakers and it works fine u do have to use tv setting to find ur device
