• We have surround sound speakers and a base volume, but we needed and paid for the Geek squad to come out and set everything up for us. Worth the price if you don't know what you are doing.

• Yes audio output to a Receiver can either be TOSLink fiber cable or via HDMI. My audio from the TV is using HDMI 1.4 cables going to a Yamaha receiver.
