Go straight to the TV as you will loose several built in features ( i guess) that are called extras, etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would advise running the satellite box directly to the TV. You don't want to hinder your refresh rate. On advice from a friend, I run my components (Comcast, PS4, XBOX, etc.) direct to the TV, then run optical audio out from the TV to the receiver. It works very well. You just need to remember to change your audio method back to the TV speakers when not running the receiver.
