I don't know if Samsung offers an app for their Tizen OS (which runs the TV). We run 2 of the Apple TV units (4th gen) to get Directv Now - and I know that Home Kit is part of Apple's approach to a Smart Home. Home Kit was included in the last firmware update (10.0.1) and beyond. I admit we are also Samsung people for our personal devices, so we kinda live in an Android ecosystem. We run our Smart Devices (locks and Philips lights) thru Samsung Smarthings, Google Home, and yes we also have 1 Echo Dot to help with the lights in another part of the house. While we love our new Samsung TV - the "hub" of a Smart home actually will probably come from what device you attach the TV if you are trying to employ the TV as part of your system. Personally, our next move is probable going to be Next security cams, which you can fiddle with with an app thru the Apple TV device. Hope this helps a little....
