• I do not think so. I have a box hooked up to both of my Smart Samsumg TV's.

• Hi Charlie, Unfortunately Comcast started to scramble all of it's channels about 5 years ago so you can no longer use the digital clear QAM (coax cable) input on any TV with them or Time Warner / Spectrum TV as well. Comcast / Xfinity does have the Xfinity app you can use without a cable box. Unfortunately again, Samsung does not offer the Xfinity app as a download directly to their TV's. You can use an external device, I recommend the Roku UHD units but there are other Android devices, to use the app. I have the app on 2 Roku devices on my other 2 TV's and it works perfectly. You will also not be charged by Comcast for using the app so, no rental fee. Hope this information helps.
