Do you have to have a sound bar? null

Hi lita! The AU8000 features built in speakers with Samsung's Object Tracking Sound lite technology providing you with a more immersive sound experience when compared to standard TV speakers. Should you wish to enhance your audio experience you can add a soundbar, but this is not required to enjoy the TV. ^Tim

It depends on your preference I don't have a sound bar.

The TV has its own speakers so you don't need a sound bar!
