I was not convinced when I was buying mine there was a difference. But the Best Buy I went too had them both next to each other. To me the curved was a little sharper. Glares are not as bright on a curved tv but because it's curved the glares are longer across the screen. Football games took a minute to get use to as the field seems to sort of be curved at the edges of the screen but I'm used to it now If you game or love action flicks go with the curved screen. If you watch mostly sports and other movies go with flat.
