“Do any of the apps allow you to purchase UHD HDR movies? I ask because i have a KS8500 and it has no apps that let you buy a UHD HDR movies.. :( maybe in an update soon.”

• Yes - we ended up getting Netflix in 4K streaming directly to the tv (previously streamed in HD to cable box or Apple TV).

• We thought of upgrade too although do your homework first- this model isn't Quantum Dot like the KS8500 and the reviews state the viewing angle isn't very good, do not upgrade the 8500KS unless High end Quantum Dot because the KS is Quantum Dot and these are not, not SUHD, Ultra UHD although "excellent" picture it is not as nice, if given option, purchase older KS model.
