• the TV is driven by a proprietary Samsung thin cable that supplies power AND A/V stream. This single cable is very thin, can hardly be seen, is about 6' long and is driven by a Samsung box that allows multiple connections (sat/cable, DVD, etc). If you have your own A/V receiver, this receiver will control what source is sent to Samsung box. the Samsung box will then have lots of freed up sources that could be used BUT if they are, sound will only come from TV. I have never run using TV audio, always us A/V receiver.
